Cherry Kush Feminized Seeds

Free Seeds with every order!

Cherry Kush gives the familiar depth of OG Kush a sweeter, fruitier edge through its Purple Afghani parent. That contrast is what made these genetics worth adding to the MSNL catalog. We wanted a Kush that still delivered the relaxing character people expect, but with more color, a softer berry-led flavor, and stronger visual appeal. Working with trusted breeding partners, we selected stable genetics that preserved those qualities while giving growers the consistency and straightforward performance we look for in our strains. The result is a distinctive indica-dominant Kush that feels classic without tasting like every other earthy variety.

STRAIN TRAITS

Growing Cherry Kush

Cherry Kush is an easy strain to manage and usually reaches around 100–180 cm. Its indica influence keeps the structure fairly controlled, although you still need enough room for the plant to fill out once flowering begins. Indoors, a little early shaping can help spread the canopy and stop the top growth from shading everything underneath.

The center of the plant is the main area to watch. As the buds become denser, overlapping leaves can restrict airflow and trap moisture around the flowers. A light tidy-up before and during flowering helps keep the canopy open without removing more foliage than necessary.

If you have a phenotype that shows more of the Purple Afghani side, slightly cooler nights during the final two weeks may bring out deeper purple tones. Keep the temperature drop gentle. Sudden cold can slow the plant down, while a moderate change encourages color without putting the flowers under unnecessary stress.

Cherry Kush performs best in warm outdoor conditions and is generally ready in early October. Indoors, steady feeding and a stable environment are usually all it needs. There is little benefit in pushing nutrients hard, especially late in bloom when the focus should be on clean, even flower development.

Yield Potential

Under suitable indoor conditions, Cherry Kush can produce around 300–400 g/m². It is not the highest-yielding Kush in the catalog, but the flowers make up for that with density, resin, color, and flavor.

An open canopy helps more light reach the lower bud sites and prevents the center of the plant from becoming overcrowded. Outdoors, plenty of direct sun and a warm start to fall give the flowers enough time to finish properly before the early-October harvest.

Potency & Effects

With THC levels reaching up to 24% and CBD below 1%, Cherry Kush delivers a strong, relaxing experience. The indica-dominant influence becomes more noticeable as the effects settle, making it better suited to the evening than a busy daytime schedule.

The high tends to feel calming and body-focused rather than bright or energetic. That makes it a good choice when you want to slow down, switch off, or enjoy a quieter end to the day. Its strength is better suited to experienced users, while anyone with a lower tolerance should take a more measured approach.

Aroma, Flavor & Terpenes

Cherry Kush combines sweet berry and ripe fruit with the deeper earthiness associated with OG Kush. Caryophyllene adds a light peppery edge, limonene lifts the fruit notes, and linalool brings a softer floral quality to the finish.

Do not rush the harvest if flavor is the priority. Giving the flowers time to fully mature helps the sweeter cherry character become more obvious alongside the earthy Kush base. A slow dry and patient cure then allow those layers to settle into a smoother, fuller profile.

Who Is Cherry Kush Best Suited To?

Cherry Kush suits growers who enjoy modern Kush strains but want something sweeter and more colorful than the usual earthy profile. Its manageable structure and easy-growing nature make it approachable indoors, while warm-climate outdoor growers can take advantage of its early-October finish.

It is also a strong choice for evening users, flavor-focused growers, and anyone who values attractive flowers and relaxing effects as much as raw yield.

Tips From the MSNL Grow Team

  • Keep the middle of the canopy open so air can move around the dense flowers.
  • Let the buds fully mature if you want the cherry flavor to come through clearly.
  • Use slightly cooler nights late in bloom to encourage purple color where the genetics allow.
  • Avoid heavy feeding near the finish and let the plant mature at its own pace.
