White Ruski Feminized Seeds
White Ruski brings together two strains that helped define modern cannabis breeding: AK47 and White Widow. Rather than trying to reinvent either parent, the aim was to preserve the qualities that made both so dependable. AK47 contributes balanced growth and a steady, calming effect, while White Widow adds potency and heavy resin production. We selected these genetics for their old-school character, very reliable performance and flowers that develop a rich and beautiful flavor after curing. We've chosen White Ruski as part of our MSNL catalog because we believe that classic hybrids are still at the top of their game amongst newer variations.

STRAIN TRAITS
Growing White Ruski
White Ruski can reach heights of around 100–180 cm, making it a good fit for indoor growers who are looking to grow a moderately sized plant. We would rate this a slightly more difficult plant to grow for the newest of growers, but anyone with a little growing experience should find it straightforward and rewarding to manage.
Topping early works well with this strain. Removing the main growing tip encourages several strong flowering branches to develop, creating more bud sites across the plant and giving the plant more opportunities to produce flowers. Allow the plant enough time to recover before flowering, then keep any further training to a minimum.
Feeding is one area where more is not always better. White Ruski generally performs well on a steady, balanced schedule, especially once flowering begins. Overfeeding White Ruski can dull the final flavor and leave excess nitrogen in the plant once harvest arrives.
Resin production increases quickly during the final weeks, so handle the flowers as little as possible once the trichomes begin to build. Outdoors, White Ruski performs well in temperate, warm, and subtropical climates and is generally ready by the end of September.
Yield Potential
Under suitable indoor conditions, White Ruski can produce around 300–400 g/m². Early topping helps spread production across several main flowering sites rather than concentrating it in one central cola.
Keep the canopy open enough for light to reach the lower branches, but avoid unnecessary pruning once flowering is established. Balanced feeding and stable conditions usually bring better results than pushing EC in search of extra weight. Outdoors, direct sun and a warm finish help the flowers mature fully before harvest.
Potency & Effects
With THC levels reaching up to 24% and CBD below 1%, White Ruski delivers a strong, calming experience. Its indica-dominant background gives the effects of being relaxed and settled rather than the overly energetic feeling associated with sativa-heavy strains.
The experience is better suited to the evening, when you are ready to slow down and take an early night. Its strength makes it more suited to smokers who have a higher tolerance.
Aroma, Flavor & Terpenes
White Ruski has a distinctive taste built around rose, spice, and dry tobacco. Myrcene adds an earthy base, caryophyllene brings pepper and warmth, and pinene gives the finish a fresher herbal edge.
The flavors develop considerably during curing, bringing out the earthier and spicy notes of AK47 and the sweeter side of White Widow. This creates a smoother and more balanced finish. The longer you cure the bud, the more you'll notice the flavors of both strains pop!
Who Is White Ruski Best Suited To?
White Ruski suits growers who appreciate classic hybrids as opposed to the latest dessert flavors to stay interested. It is a good choice for indoor growers who enjoy a more hands on approach when growing weed, as well as outdoor growers in climates that stay warm through September.
The calming effects make it more appropriate for evening use, while the heavy resin production will appeal to anyone who values frosty flowers and traditional earthy, spicy flavors.
Tips From the MSNL Grow Team
- We’d recommend topping early to create several well-positioned main flowering branches.
- Keep feeding balanced during bloom rather than pushing nutrient strength too high.
- Avoid handling the buds once resin production increases near the finish.
- We’ve noticed that the longer you cure this strain, the more the spice and sweetness of both strains come to life. (an ideal cure time would be around 3-6 months).
