Green Spirit Feminised Seeds
Not every strain needs to follow the latest trend. Green Spirit was selected because it brings together two genetics that have proven their value over decades: Big Bud and Skunk #1. Big Bud contributes the production potential, while Skunk #1 adds the reliability and balanced growth that made it a favourite with generations of growers. We loved that dependable combination for the MSNL catalogue, focusing on healthy development, straightforward cultivation, and consistent results. Green Spirit is a reminder that well-chosen classic genetics can still compete with much newer varieties.

STRAIN TRAITS
Growing Green Spirit
Green Spirit usually reaches around 100–180 cm, giving it enough size to build a productive canopy without becoming especially difficult to contain. Its balanced genetics also make the growth pattern fairly predictable, although it is rated as a medium-difficulty strain because the canopy benefits from some attention as it fills out.
Topping early in vegetative growth is a good way to shape the plant. Removing the main tip encourages several leading branches to develop, which makes better use of the productive Big Bud side of the genetics. From there, a little low-stress training can help keep those branches at a similar height.
As flowering moves on, the canopy may become crowded with larger fan leaves. Remove only the ones blocking several lower bud sites or stopping air from moving through the middle. Opening the plant slightly helps the lower flowers develop more evenly and makes it easier to check the buds as they gain weight.
Green Spirit performs best in warm conditions and is generally ready outdoors in early October. If you are growing outside, add stakes or other support before the flowers become heavy. It is much easier to prepare the branches early than to hold them up once they are already leaning.
Yield Potential
Under suitable indoor conditions, Green Spirit can produce around 300–400 g/m². The best results come from creating several well-positioned main branches rather than allowing one central cola to dominate the canopy.
Do not rush the final week of flowering. The Big Bud influence can add a noticeable amount of weight near the finish, so harvesting early may leave part of the strain’s production potential behind. Outdoors, good branch support and plenty of direct sun help the flowers finish evenly.
Potency & Effects
With THC levels reaching up to 18% and CBD below 1%, Green Spirit offers moderate potency with an uplifting effect. Its even indica-to-sativa balance gives the experience a more rounded feel than strains that lean heavily in one direction.
The effects are bright enough for social settings, creative plans, or relaxed daytime use, without being built around extreme intensity. That makes Green Spirit approachable for people who want a noticeable high but do not necessarily need the strongest option available. Less experienced users should still begin carefully and allow time for the effects to settle.
Aroma, Flavour & Terpenes
Green Spirit has a classic skunky base with sweet and spicy notes running through it. Beta-caryophyllene adds a dry peppery edge, limonene brings a brighter lift, and linalool softens the finish with a light floral quality.
The profile feels familiar without being flat. A steady dry and cure help bring the sweeter side forward while smoothing out the sharper skunk and spice. Rushing the process can leave the aroma harsher and less balanced.
Who Is Green Spirit Best Suited To?
Green Spirit suits growers who value dependable performance and classic genetics over novelty. It is a good option if you enjoy topping and shaping a canopy, but still want a plant that remains fairly straightforward once the structure is set.
It also works well for outdoor growers in warm climates who can provide branch support before harvest. The moderate potency and uplifting effects make it a versatile choice for users who prefer a balanced experience rather than something especially heavy or intense.
Tips From the MSNL Grow Team
- Top early to create several main branches and make better use of the available light.
- Remove a few large fan leaves if the canopy becomes crowded during flowering.
- Give the final week time to finish, as the buds can add noticeable weight late on.
- Support outdoor branches before the flowers become heavy and difficult to manage.
